Pipeline Transportation
The Most Efficient Way to Move Petroleum — Our Pipeline Infrastructure
Pipelines are the safest, most cost-effective, and most environmentally efficient method of transporting large volumes of liquid hydrocarbons and natural gas. ТОО “Astana-Trans-Oil” operates and interfaces with pipeline infrastructure at all four of its terminal locations — enabling high-volume, continuous product transfer between storage facilities, refineries, loading terminals, and distribution points.
Kazakhstan Pipeline Operations
In Kazakhstan, our pipeline network connects the Tamdy gas field processing facilities to our LNG and CNG storage terminals, enabling continuous feed gas supply and processed gas delivery. We also interface with Kazakhstan’s national pipeline infrastructure — including the Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent gas pipeline (capacity expanding from 15 to 30 billion cubic metres per year through 2029) — to access national transmission corridors for product movement.
Our Kazakhstan petroleum product pipeline systems connect tank farm storage to road tanker loading facilities, enabling efficient, metered product despatch to fuel distributors, mining operations, and industrial clients without the safety risks and volume limitations of manual handling.
Rotterdam Pipeline Connectivity
The Port of Rotterdam’s Europoort terminal — one of Europe’s most pipeline-rich energy hubs — offers pipeline connections to over 10 refineries and major product distribution networks across North West Europe, including dedicated jet fuel pipeline connections to key international airports. Our Rotterdam terminal leverages this infrastructure to provide clients with direct pipeline access to refinery feedstock markets and downstream distribution grids, enabling commercial optimisation that road or barge-only logistics cannot match.
Houston Pipeline Connectivity
Our Houston Ship Channel terminal facility benefits from connections to the extensive US Gulf Coast pipeline network — providing access to domestic refinery infrastructure, export terminal pipelines, and product distribution systems that reach deep into the US market. This connectivity enables crude oil and residual fuel oil to be received by pipeline from upstream producers and distributed to refiners, blenders, and exporters with maximum efficiency.
Fujairah Pipeline Infrastructure
Fujairah’s extensive onshore pipeline network connects the port’s oil terminal berths to the storage tank farm complex, enabling high-capacity ship-to-shore and shore-to-ship product transfers. Our Fujairah terminal is interconnected with other major storage operators in the port through shared pipeline corridors, enabling inter-terminal trading, blending, and cargo optimisation operations that are unique to this strategically positioned Middle East hub.
